Of Mice and Men essay

Jhon Steinbeck, winner of the noble prize fro literture, wrote Of Mice and Men, a riveting story that is a perfect example of good literture. This is a story of tow young men, George and Linne, who are always looking for work and cannot seem to hold a job because of Linne, George's mentley chanleged freind, always getting them into trouble. This classic truly shows what lititure is all about because it shows the struggle of humanity and it's heart.
In ninteen sixty two Jhon Steinbeck won the noble prize for liteture. In his aceptence speech  he stated that " only the human heart in conflictg with itself is truly worth writeing about" and that "Literatur is as old as speech. It grew out of human need for it and it has not changed except to become more needed." In interpretation, good literature is the telling of the conflict within the heart and shows us our greatest faults and how weak we are while at the same time showing us how to overcome these faults and acheive greatness. In short literture is what teaches us and inspires us.
Within the book Of Mice and Men I believe that Curly and Curly's wife represent many if not all the faults of man. Curly, with his short temper, jealousy of others whome are bigger and stronger than him, his quick call to violence, and the mentally abuse he puts his wife through. Curly's wife, with her lust for men (that are not her husband), her need for attention at all times, luring others into trouble, and her true stupidty.
Then theres George and Linnie, they are made out to be the greatness of man in this book or at least the road to greatness. Both of them dreamed of there won place, were they can live peacfully, wish in a sense is the dream of all men. Also, although he was retarded, Linne had something that most people would want or consider to be a goal of greatness, simplicity, happy, not a worry in the world and with the innocence of a child.
Of Mice and Men one of the test examples of good literature, that has stood the test of time and will remain as an example of the faults and greatness of man and will teach us to overcome those faults and achieve greatness for generations to come.
